THE CHILDREN:
We would like to introduce you to some of the children who are currently in care at Pastor Raj’s home. When you read their stories you will understand why we want to bless them with this new building. The Home of Blessing Orphanage will change their lives and the lives of many other children in a very real and positive way. Our aim is not just to help these children survive - we want them to be healthy and happy, and we want to give them every opportunity to walk in the destiny for which they were created.

Chinnari
Chinnari’s parents were very poor. As labourers, they couldn’t afford to clothe or educate her so she came to Pastor Raj’s home when she was three years old. She is now eight and is in second grade. Chinnari like to skip, she loves chocolate and she wants to become a teacher one day.

Devi
Sadly, Devi has no father. Her mother works hard, but her wages are so low that she can’t provide for her daughter. So Devi was brought to Pastor Raj’s home. She is now ten years old, and is in fourth grade. She wants to become a nurse one day. Devi loves to skip - and she loves to eat sweets!

Nandini
Nandini’s father became ill and died. Her mother is too sick to work or look after Nandini properly. When Nandini came to Pastor Raj’s home she had serious learning problems but now she is learning how to dress herself and take care of herself. At seven years old, she is attending school and life is looking much brighter for her.

Nani
Nani’s parents left him with his grandparents when their marriage broke up. When his grandparents became too old to care for him, they brought him to Pastor Raj’s home. Nani is now eight years old and he is doing well - he is going to school, he enjoys the company of other children and he is overcoming his fears and becoming more confident.

P.Jyoti - Uma - Raji
These three little girls are sisters. When they were very young, their father left their mother, who is very poor and cannot afford to care for them properly. So she brought the girls to the home where they are now cared for and comforted. P.Jyoti, Uma and Raji attend school where they enjoy learning new things.

Sandya
Although Sandya’s parents were too poor to care for her, they wanted their daughter to have a good education and a good future, so she was brought to Pastor Raj’s home. Even though ten year old Sandya is very shy by nature, she is now experiencing love and acceptance and enjoys singing with the other children.

Rambabu
Young Rambabu’s parents are separated and he was given into the care of his grandparents. When they brought him to the home, he was not going to school, he was ill, malnourished and did not have any decent clothes. Now he feels like he belongs - he is a good, friendly boy and is very helpful to the other children. Rambabu is nine years old.

Veni
Veni’s aunt brought her to the home when her parents died. Now nine years old, Veni is doing very well. She attends school and has settled comfortably into life at the home.
